zuster

When I heard on the grapevine that iconic design mecca Zuster was launching a sister store and arriving in Sydney this Autumn, I was excited to say the least.
Established in 1990 by sisters Wilhelmina McCarroll and Fleur Bouw, Zuster has crafted a niche where beautiful design meets furniture that is built to last, redefining “investment furniture” for the 21st century.
The Surry Hills showroom is light and spacious, allowing the wide range of furniture to breathe. Warm hues of willow, american oak and amber timber are softened by grey and cream wool throws, punchy ruby rugs and contrasting denim-blue textile upholstered chairs. Throw in expressive artwork, colourful glass and south american inspired pom-poms and you have a blend of subtle style with glimpses of a colourful personality.
Wether you’re looking for that next investment piece or just interior inspiration, beyond the fire-red doors, you’ll find a calm haven dedicated to beautiful style with substance.

Getting to grips with creative wonderment

I’m so happy to announce that in just a few weeks I’ll be co-hosting a blog photography workshop in Sydney and you’re invited.

The workshop has been put together by three creative ladies; Jaclyn Carlson from Little Paper Trees, Amanda Tait from Finding The North Star and myself.  Throughout the day, I’ll be walking through the basics – the fundamentals of photographic theory and how to use them to let your creativity shine in a relaxed and informal space in lovely Mona Vale. There’ll be beautiful styling on hand to spark off photographic inspiration and of course some delicious bits and bobs so we don’t go hungry while feeding our brains with creative goodness.

Here’s all the deets – but we’re keeping the class nice and cosy to keep the vibe nice and chilled, so you’ll have to be quick to snaffle your place!
Are you a blogger looking to improve your photography skills?  Are you ready to take better photos and finally switch from Auto to Manual? Join us for a fun and casual workshop that will teach you the basics of digital photography and provide you the skills and confidence to get the most out of your camera.

This friendly, hands-on class will be divided into two sections: a technical overview of shooting in manual mode and the basics of digital photography, complemented by an afternoon of practical learning, where techniques will be demonstrated and then practiced. In a friendly and casual environment, this workshop is designed for bloggers looking to have fun while improving their photography style. We’ve kept the class size small and intimate so you can relax and socialise with other local bloggers and will encourage questions, comments and, of course, will allow for ample one-on-one time.

Who Should Take This Course?
This fun and informal blog photography course is designed for bloggers looking to become more confident photographers. The workshop is aimed at the beginner photographer currently shooting in auto mode and ready to take that next step. This photography workshop is suitable for any camera with full manual capability.
