A beautiful heritage building. Creativity seeping from doorways. Colour bursting out of every crevice. Individual expression at every turn. Packed aisles and heaps of chatter and networking. This is a photography brief that I simply adore. Life Instyle never fails to inspire, so spending two days in stunning (but chilly) Melbourne with the gorgeous team from Reed Exhibitions was just fun fun fun all the way. So much more to come, but this sets the scene for now.
I do love a bit of colour. And when I was in Melbourne recently for the Reed Gift Fair, I was not disappointed. Melburnians always serve up the cheerful goods, especially in winter, which I just love when I’m shooting. Last winter, it was all about the mustard. This winter, some very pleasing splashes of cobalt blue.
Ok, I know I was supposed to be shooting all the frenzied business going on, the sparkly products and oooh-inducing homewares, but I did love snapping a few of the bright and funky ones.
If you enjoy these, wait til you see some of the pops of neon and washes of pastels coming out of Life Instyle Melbourne – next post coming shortly…
To watch two of my dearest friends become married was very special, but to be asked to capture it on camera was even better. Jessamy and Corby crafted the most perfect day just south of Toulouse, tying the knot at Montespan on 19th July 2013. Filled with the scent of lavender, laughter and rays of afternoon sun, the day couldn’t have been more idyllic. Congratulations to my beautiful friends, Mr & Mrs Ganeshalingam.
